It sits among some other great 6 cubers. I used it today to help a customer buck up a large spruce tree he tipped over the other day.

I have use it a few times and mostly for my personal firewood use. I like it a lot. Thanks

Tom that trunk was big a long ways up there. Nice job. I know I have seen rounds jump 20' plus after they hit another on the ground. That can get sketchy pushing multiples off in the same area.

Decent size tan oak, last week across the county road. Suspended and under pressure. Sudden oak death killed it....

Are people allowed to go get that wood Norm when they fall over in your area?

Shane yes. Sometimes we take it, but there is almost always some good wood left for people. Sometimes we even cut into rounds for them. Its nice to see people needing wood get some. Some guys I work with don't care one way or the other. But I feel it's a way of giving back to the local community.

That is good that it gets used rather than go to waste for sure. Here is the midwest finding firewood has never been an issue, but west coast and east coast there seems to be a lot more need for it

I agree I hate to see wood wasted. Lots of wood scavengers here:) big Eucalyptus just uprooted down in town. Cazadero at the auto parts store. Smashed a car etc. About 7 feet through.

Whats Euc burn like? We don`t have it here but I see a lot of it in Cali when I am out there, some rather large ones for being an introduced species.

Yeah buddy. Huge trees. Burns fabulous, hot lots of coals. Almost no ash.

When I was In the Bay area this summer there was word going around that the city wants to start removing all of the Eucs around the Bay, seems they think that all the leaves and bark that fall from them is a fire hazard.

Kind of difficult to have it both ways. they want tree to help clean the air but don't want the hassle of properly maintaining them.

Seems like a contradictory position to be in........

There is much talk about them poisoning the soil so that other species will not grow underneath or close around them plus the fire hazard. They want to eradicate them because they are not a native species and replace them with native species like oak. It would likely be cost prohibitive to eradicate them but you never know when it comes to the Bay area mentality.
