Opposite up here gots to have Wood in the stove. Theres alot of miles between us.Where I live it's hot. I just cut it up and push it into a burn pile. Didn't freeze once this winter
wild black raspberries??? yum, yum.........Fencelines need cleanin. Here's the one me and my land renter been working on. I'm keeping the "good" firewood, he's taking some of the better lengths of box elder for his OWB. The rest is burn pile material.
So far the good wood is 1 small elm, and a bigger cherry (still standing on the left of the pic, 5 stems in 1 stump). Not much "good" grows in fencelines up here, mostly box elder, vines, prickly ash, and raspberry tangles.
This un will be firewood / cooking wood. 1/2 dead, twisty knotty ugly fence row stuff. I got a few nice tall straight ones in the woods if I ever need to make some pretty boards.Someone say cherry! Makes great lumber...
Got em everywhere on my place. Only birds and furry critters eating this patch.wild black raspberries??? yum, yum.........
I hear yah,, but I gots nuff!! just commenting on how good they are on cream....Cmon up and dig all of em ya want. I got "my" patch right behind the house. There's plenty more around here yet.
Well here ya go! Whipped out some nifty ash shovel handles for me and my BIL. Not bad for a piece of firewood.
