Hey guys here’s a thought, if you truly believe Stihl chain is superior then buy Stihl chain, pay their absurd price for it and shut up about it. No need to try and justify its price compared to others by saying how much better it is when others don’t care for it!

Judging by what you have said, what others have said, and my own personal professional experience with the chain, I’m inclined to think you may have gotten a “bad batch”. Not all that surprising with Chinese manufacturing and quality control.

I’ve found the dukes chains I have here to be somewhere between Oregon and Sthil quality. Not quite as durable as Stihl RS but close. Is it old school rsk nah but that’s pretty much the pinnacle. Definitely better quality than the stuff I’ve used from Oregon in the past. Quite frankly I stopped using Oregon because it has become soft garbage.

@Duke Thieroff

Is there any kind of batch numbering associated with the chains you sell? It's a Longshot, but worth asking.

Entirely possible. If it holds up better than Oregon for others, then it should for me, and that certainly wasn’t my experience. As stated in one of my previous posts, I’m willing to try another loop sometime.
Message me on the side and I'll send you some. I see your user name here, but I'm not 100% how that correlates to your real name that we shipped to .

No more update of of right now I was hoping to finish these three blow downs but I guess I over did it my back is not liking life right now so I guess I'm not as young as I thought I was lol but hopefully I can get back to it this weekend and give some more feedback on the chain but I'm still very pleased with the Duke's chain. Thanks Duke I do plan on ordering more from you hopefully you have it in a 28" plus bar.😎

I ran a tank on the second new chain from the three-pack. Cutting more mossy, dirty white oak up to 14" diameter. So far it's holding up, and I'd feel okay about running another tank on it before sharpening.

I'm going to take the depths down a touch on the first chain and see how it holds up taking a bigger bite.

Edit: photos didn't load.....

(Strap slipped while I was hooking up, and there's a 6' drop on the other side of the strapped-pepperwood, so I said f*ck it, it'll work)

Well unfortunately the Duke's chain doesn't hold up to tree spikes from the 1980s tree hugging pricks like all other chains they don't like that *s-word but I fixed it not much life left for this chain but she's ready to go get some revenge I changed the angle to 15° because I'm in to nothing but fir trees now all the alder is bucked up I love the Duke's chain hands down......IMG_20250119_162421.jpgIMG_20250119_161525.jpgIMG_20250119_160445.jpg

It’s hard to beat, cost versus quality,

Thank you i really appreciate it's never fun running a saw with a dall chain but I do injury hand filling believe it or not. Lol
Morning the auto correct on the Phone was joking, it say you have an injury of hand filing. I say you enjoy hand filing.
