Only thing I'm concerned with is who the hell my trucks go to. I still haven't decided! Dad can have the saws for sure....he knows what they're worth....not to mention I'm single so.....lol....But my trucks....whole different story. I'd come back from the dead if they were sold to someone I didn't know.

How many wives would know the proper places or ppl to sell to. i.e. On the forums?

I think if instructed it's would be feasible for a wife or kin ? To sign up post info and prices and guys on here would be understanding of the situation?

Reminds me of a thread on AS a while back where a son found his dads login and password introduced himself said his dads username and that he had passed. Also leaving behind around 100 to 200 NIB Stihl saws that he collected for the 80 to passing. His dad was a Stihl dealer he was asking for suggestions on selling. Im sure he got bombarded with pm's but several told him what he needed to do. I think I still see him selling on eBay ?

I'm the only one that works on their saws and i cut most of their firewood so id say they're gonna miss me for that reason alone. my brother has 4 little kids they can have everything but my two youngest nieces each get a ar15 and a .22 pistol and compact 9mm .40 and .45 pistols lol

I have told my wife who to contact in regards to what 'asset' needs to be liquidated.

My problem would not be death, it would be life...like if my wife died Id be totally farked.
she's young and smart...my im old cranky and worthless....

I'd be totally lost without my wife, I'm just like having a 5th kid...

My late father in law was a planner. He had made a ledger and put it in his desk drawer of important information. In the pages of that ledger were all his bank account numbers, life insurance plan information, retirement and pension information, stock investment info, and then a listing of anything he valued over $500 with a number assigned. Also included were titles and deeds to everything. It made the process as simple as possibly could be for us during that time.

It is funny that this thread popped up today as I just called my college roommate yesterday to have him draft me a new will. I am going to leave directives for my sister to have an auction with the proceeds going into a trust for my kids.

The saws are chump change compared to the rest which is pretty straightforward.

An auction would probably be best. Problem is auctioneers always want to sell everything. That would be a problem for the kids.
