Both are nice saws. If you want to buck firewood with a 60cc saw the 6100 is the saw, but if you're gonna be flipping it around and c/limbing (see what i did there?) with it the 562xp/2260 is what you want. I prefer the small mount on my 2260 and its a little smaller.

Not for me no matter how well it runs!! Lol!! Felt chunky/ round / fat was my first impression. Id rather the feel of a 550/562 anyday over that feel and I hate wide fat bottom saws being whatever kind it is.
agree with you Keith, I also prefer slim saws.

There has been alot discussion how awful those 346/550 PTO bearings is compared to the traditional bearing & seal, but the fact is that you can cut down the crank axel lenght with that bearing design, ie more slim body.

I did not have 555/560 or 562 crank to size up (maybe someone else has one), but I got a few other cranks included 357 crank....
254/262: 147mm
357/359: 144mm
346/353: 133mm
545/550: 122mm

If we take 50cc class as example, Husky manage to cut down the crank with 1", well done if you ask me!

I just wish the 562XP was more durable. I've got three here that are dead with less than 45 hours on them. One more dead at 188 hours. It's the longest running one I've ever seen.

Folks love them though. I do several a month for a Husqvarna dealer. He sells them as fast as I can do them.

we can agree that Husky has a long way to go before those 5xx serie saws are perfect, they have a huge potential but Husky need to raise up their quality.
Ive seen 550XPG with blown con rod bearing and it didnt reach 50 hours, doesnt make sense but it is what it is.

PTO bearings, and/or crankshaft.
they have updated bearings due mechanical failure, think they are on version 3 nowadays, and most of those 5 xxx serie cranks has got one update due con rod failures.
Not sure if they are done yet ;)

That's because Paul talks them up and people wait in line for them!

How many hours do you have on yours do you think?

I have the 555, I like the small mount as I have zero intention of running 20"+ bars on it. Mine wears a 15" Windsor speed tip RSN. Its smaller than many pro 50cc saws with really good balance/performance. I only have around 40hrs on mine and its been great. They could definately be improved but this dedicated 60cc platform was pretty unique when it hit the market 7ish years ago.

Geez..I have no idea Steven[emoji3]...i'll have it plugged in one day to see.

We have a small concentrated group of enthusiast here that contribute on the forums. The number of saws we own is small vs what the different manufacturers sell on a yearly basis. Off memory, I think you have been very happy with your 562 and 2260, I can't recall a issue you have posted about regarding the saws. As a pro, your logging 100s of hours on a saw in a years time, your word carries weight for those of us who are casual users.

What Im getting at, is if your saws are hanging tough used in a production setting, then Johnny homeowner should have great luck with the model 99.997% of the time.
