I wouldn't buy another 562. It's not worth the risk to spend that much on a saw that may last 188 hours, but probably a lot less. I'd keep the 6100.

I don't understand how anyone could say a 357xp is 'fat'... but then again I also like my 262xp, which is even 'fatter'.

Yeah I am thinking the 6100 might just have to stay. I like the red and black anyways. And the power is there, kinda reminds me of my 359 with more power to be honest. They feel right and still have a carb.

Here are the pics, and yes that Dolmar 6100 followed me home to, I had a moment of weakness. Booth are new, never fueled. Not sure I need the Dolmar, it might be for sale soon, we will see

K. So I can't recall anyone ever posting this pic, I want to see how much wider the bottom of the 6100 is than the 562. Flip both them suckers either on their noses, or on their clutch covers side by side and take a pic. Ive never seen 6100 in person, but have had 262s, 357/9, 362scms, and a 562.

Your guys know more about 555 and 562 compared to what we do in Norway, its kinda rare if they sell 560XPG here.

In this 5 serie Era we somehow have forgotten that Husky has never been bang on from day one, dont get me wrong, there is no excuss for them, and most of the fixes that Husky provide is really a cheap solution.

357 wasnt free of born disease, they had to make a stronger crank after a few years, they failed big time with autocomp, plastic intake failure, it took them close to 7 years to elimimate out all the issues 357 had. Our biggest dealer refused to sell those autodemp 357, that is how bad its reputation was.

If we gone speak about when Husky did it all right we are back to the good old 2xx serie saws.

I just wish the 562XP was more durable. I've got three here that are dead with less than 45 hours on them. One more dead at 188 hours. It's the longest running one I've ever seen.

Folks love them though. I do several a month for a Husqvarna dealer. He sells them as fast as I can do them.
That's great to hear Randy

I can't stand using them in the woods. Great cutting cookies.
I agree. I almost dont like my 346 because of that same feel of wide/fat. Feels like a damn lil Butterball turkey!!!:D. I actually prefer the 550 balance and feel over the 346 and for sure over the 357. Cant deny how a 346 and 357 run but neither balances in hand like a 550 or a 562 IMO

Even those saws were improved throughout their lifespans, even if minor in comparison. The numerous IPL"s for each would seem to bear this out. Was before my time, but the local logger lore has it that the first 272's would go into the woods and come right back with a busted crank. Husqvarna wanted to know what was happening with those saws, turned out they could not handle limbing trees with a lot of limbs like spruce and cedar. When you look at the IPL on it, it can be seen between the two of them a different crank at a certain serial number. The saws were fixed, people went back about their business, the improved saw is still being made today. This being just one example. The only difference I can see between then and now is people did not have computers back then to tell the world that the 272 was bad, like is being done today with the new saws. Stihl is no different in this respect, as changes were made back when and now. Husqvarna has continually improved their products from what I can tell, I hope they would continue to do so in the future, just as other manufacturers do.

Looking like the 562XPGW might be up for sale, like to take a run at the 288 Skippy has, if I can get the funds together.

Seems its a hit or miss with electronic saws. I had trouble with my 441c and 241c but not my 362c. I had hell with my 550 but 0 issues with my 562

I probably wont get 180hrs on mine before I DIE!!!:D Kenjaxs seems to be holdin up well and Im sure it has a good amount on it
clocked my saw against a 562 at the dealer, it is only 8-10 seconds behind a 562
good enough for me using a old outdated 61/266
