I spent a little time on my tiptoes on a rickety 50 year old wooden ladder looking at the 12 saws that my local chainsaw shop has put up on the high shelf as "not for sale" in the last 39 years.
The grumpy old man likes me these days and says I can buy any or all of them and then he started dragging other relics out of other rooms as well :)

He has a firm price in mind for the Disston and Wright saws and both were put up properly as runners back in the day. All but one of the top shelf saws was drained run out of fuel and put away properly.

I have really no idea what to offer or to pay on these guys so I snapped some pics and am looking for sage advise from you guys.

I don't even know what all of them are :)

Disston DO-100 - perspective makes it look small but this is easily the biggest, I was holding the phone up above my head standing on a ladder to snap this :)

Mystery McCulloch - I cant get any closer to this saw without about an hour of moving boxes of saw parts and a taller ladder :)
Its a good size saw wearing a 32 or 36" bar

I know there worth much more than my guess but there is a small market for them saws, unless your keeping them then it don't matter what you pay.

the mystery mac reminds me in general of the badass hotrod saw at the NY GTG :) but much less custom chrome
He also drug out a mac 1-43, a pair of Homie C72s, a David Bradlet 917-60010
and a nice (ok ugly and dust covered) Techimseh AH58 which I bought on sight I'm sure you can guess why :)

I get first crack at the big signs in the background someday as well :)
Gary told me along time ago a few rules of thumb for not losing my ass on unfamiliar saws but I want to try to make a reasonable and fair offer, this guy is a fountain of wisdom.
I really want the Speed Demon, the Disston, the Wright and the Blue Homelite as well as the mystery Mac, the others I am clueless as to if they are really worthwhile or just odd.

What kind of saw is it?
Tecumseh AH-58 and the bar is an Oregon universal mount.
pretty sure this is the same engine they provided to a thousand other chainsaw builders before eventually producing this model in house, kind neat looking other than the tan color which might not be original there is a light blue underneath I think

how close are you to a Fastenal location?
I can probably put together a pallet load of that stuff and throw in a few boxes of 041 to balance the load :)
they are a really cheap way to ship bulk stuff on a pallet.
Jimmy C taught me that :)
