Has the display area expanded in physical size. It was tight years ago and I can only imagine now 😄

Drunks? Some dummy on the sauce showed up towards the end and wouldn’t go away. Kept asking when he could cut and heckling.

No I am talking about saws powered by the most prolific kart engine ever. This one is waiting to for a chassis.IMG_20231028_174753484.jpgIMG_20231028_174757617.jpg

West Bend powered saws...Steve Melzer used to dominate the hot saws with a highly modified Montgomery Wards saw powered by a West Bend 820 (8.2 In3) engine.

Mark

I believe it was before you were attending Baraboo but Steve used to run a Homelite 2100 in the hot saw class. I believe it had a GEM V-6 or Mac 4 reed intake manifold someone adapted to it. I believe another year he ran a Homelite 750 in the hot saw class. It was one of a pair he outbid me on down in I believe Arizona. After that is was the Wards WD-99 for years. Not only is Steve an ace at building saws is is a top notch operator in related to racing.

Homelite SXL or some such variant.
It definitely looks like one. I do not remember him running one but the last year I went was 2016 or 2017. I will have to look at my plaques to see.

Where are you heading for Labor Day weekend? I have heard Edgerton WI is a good sized show but we go to Mt. Pleasant IA which as far as i know is the largest in the nation.
