It's very tough to dry something like that with out it cracking. You need to keep both sides sealed for a long time. As it starts to check the cracks need to be sealed to keep it from spreading. Even then you lose it sometimes.
But you are welcome to it.

I've heard cutting on a diagonal helps a lot. But then it's not round...

i volunteer to find the metal in the tree, give me 50 cuts and I'll let u know . Might not be wood left .

Honestly I think either one of the 394's is going to take crown or Lee's 166 or cart motor Mac. That 166 is NO joke. I can honestly say that is one of the most powerful saws I've ever run in big wood.
