So I'm using different encoder software and found the live stream with it to be perfect so far on testing. The audio hasn't messed up at all and the video has had no pixelization happen or anything -- just perfect 720p like it does when I use the VLC software to view the camera like a CCTV.

So we can give this a shot at Dan's in a week and maybe we'll have a decent live stream with video and audio this time!

I'll also provision a guest network on Dan's WIFI so guys can use it for uploading and limit the bandwidth so the live stream doesn't get wrecked with folks uploading videos they take w/ phone cameras etc.

Dan if you think of it -- try removing that extra splitter on the cable modem and see if the upstream speed hits 12 Mbps instead of the usual 6 Mbps.

Cheers gentlemen.

Splitter gone Eric,
I'm still seeing 6 Mbps.

Yup, "Tuff Stuff" chrome aftermarket junk the PO put on let go on us and fortunately Dan was in a place in his morning where he could come relieve us of our trailer and break up the time a little while we waited for the flatbed...

Thanks Dan!

Lol
You didn't give me much choice....

That's a bummer. If you get a moment when inside taking a break give Comcast a call and find out what your bandwidth should be (hopefully you get someone at Comcast who possesses the one 1/2 brain they have at the moment you call)... If you don't have time no biggie. Maybe 6 Mbps upstream is what you should get but it would be sweet if they did 12. I remember one time when we were building the network I got 12 Mbps for a moment it seemed when testing.

Worst case we can set it up so guests on the WIFI at the GTG get 45 Mbps downstream and 2 Mbps upstream so no matter how much people download or upload there is guaranteed additional 45 Mbps down and 4 Mbps upstream (the important part) available for the live stream.

Already getting excited for this weekend. Long range weather says rain Friday but great day Saturday.

Can you test from your end Eric? My iPhone might be slow....

Dropped 2 trees for my neighbor today one pine close to 24" DBH that a woodpecker had done a number on and a hemlock about 14" DBH.
Both trees went dead nuts perfect where the felling line was pointing on 372.

Dan I must say that square filed chain on my 262 w/ 0.035" depth gauge setting is ridiculously fast on that hemlock... holy cow.
I let my neighbor try the saw (he's got 455 rancher that needs some sharpening -- I did a little limbing with it). That chain on the 262 in hemlock is fast as sh1t.

Ran 385, 372, and 262 bucking everything and had neighbor on limb duty. Everything running fantastic.
After the last cut the sky opened up pouring rain -- perfect timing to scratch the itch to run some saws today. Make some quick work with some quick saws.

Looking forward to this weekend gentlemen!

If anyone wants two Super XL Automatics I can bring them to the GTG. They're both actually really clean and complete with nice pistons but I was told they don't run. Haven't looked into them beyond the pistons. Taking up room here and need them gone. Anyone who wants them can have them.

Guess we will have to just eat, drink ,and talk shìt then.
I'm running saws too

I don't give a rats tail if I get drenched, we're going to have a bunch of saws that need running ....... and I ain't never been in any dollar races yet......... this is probably one of the few times that I can get some "perspective"

I'll dry on the ride home
