Got Mel's kitchen today, he was on his way and blew his water pump... had to go get his trailer.
But I'm grateful he is letting us use it although he won't be here.
Thanks @mels!

So I'm using different encoder software and found the live stream with it to be perfect so far on testing. The audio hasn't messed up at all and the video has had no pixelization happen or anything -- just perfect 720p like it does when I use the VLC software to view the camera like a CCTV.

So we can give this a shot at Dan's in a week and maybe we'll have a decent live stream with video and audio this time!

I'll also provision a guest network on Dan's WIFI so guys can use it for uploading and limit the bandwidth so the live stream doesn't get wrecked with folks uploading videos they take w/ phone cameras etc.

Dan if you think of it -- try removing that extra splitter on the cable modem and see if the upstream speed hits 12 Mbps instead of the usual 6 Mbps.

Cheers gentlemen.

You must have a lot of patience to deal with tech

Im one of those who won't give up easily ;)

Try to use good tech too... Usually that means avoiding Microsoft ! We'll see what we get. If the audio is fixed I'll be payched.

If we decide to go hog wild with tech someday I'll bring the Schoeps MK-41s and a tube pre-amp with a high end a/d converter and we can go 7.1 thx if we want.
Sorry about that, I'll try to keep my inner audio nerd in check :D

Nate's pipe saw was so loud with the pipe aimed at me that it totally clipped the mic in the iPhone :risas3:

How is LTE coverage at Dan's place?
I "think" I can stream to YouTube from the GoPro though my phone.
Might be fun to try if I work out the settings, etc.
Verizon LTE out in the field area is not bad. Ive heard Sprint can be tough. Not sure about ATT. You guys should get decent wifi with the AP in Dan's shop that covers out in the GTG area great.

Lee if I knew half of what you know about saws or had half the mechanical skill that you obviously have I'd be one happy dude. Im just glad "uncle Lee" takes the time to bring some of his best work to show to a bunch of guys who appear rag tag but can really appreciate the talent that goes into these machines. Here here!

Cheers.

Thanks for the compliment there Buddy. But it's not just me. There is a
ton of great talent on this site including yourself. We all have different
skills and levels of, that's what makes it great.

Sprint is pretty bad at Dan's place. I have it and can hardly make a phone call.
