Keith, the big saws were all very strong, including that 064 and the 661. With different bars and chains & lengths it is so tough to compare, so I will let the dyno tell the story. I will tell you the 3 big Stihls were all (IMO) bears to start!
That is my 460/046-D that Al ported and is noodling with, and that is also Eric with that saw on the other end of the log in the start of the 064 video. Don't quote me on the # till I get the results back from Eric, but I think that saw did close to 8 Hp on the dyno.
That is Al's ported 360 I'm running in the video, a very strong 60 cc saw! As were several of the 262s there from several porters. Al's 024 (w/026 jug) and 490 were also excellent performers.
As I said before, it was a great day. Few enough people so you got to talk to everyone, animal saws sent in from all over the place (for us to run in the absence of their owners), and of course, the star attraction was the dyno, with many thanks to Bill & Eric and all others involved. Everyone was glued to watching the #s when saws were running. When the print outs are done, Eric will take out the anomalies to give the real readings, but is was a blast watching it all.
Many great saws of all different sizes. Mostly Stihls & Huskies, and Al's 490. Don't think I saw any Dolmars today.
Thanks again Dan, Mel & Cindy for providing a great GTG location & great food. Everyone who was there helped to make it a great event! The Upstate NY GTG is a larger event, but this one is more personal, and there is something to be said for that.
