I dont know if I ever posted these 3 here.

Red one was a av model. Gave it to a friend in Calif. He said that was his first climbing saw when he started out many moons ago.

Can see my chrome bore 3.3 blue black in back ground.

That looks a lot like this pic.
I'm gonna have to get to work on those one day. One of them even still has the PS stone in place. The paint is almost completely gone from the light green one.1112191734.jpg

20200119_152556.jpg Picked up this 3.7 at a GTG for $20. Someone dropped a tree on it and smashed the rear handle and bent the carb adjustment needles.20200120_170249.jpg So I went to the shed of misfit toys and took the handle and carb off a 3.4 parts saw.
Runs pretty good for $20 and an hour of parts swapping. Muffler mod and hacked up square file chain in video.

20200211_155627.jpg Don't know if you guys are into modifying your craftsman saws. I took the intake block off my 3400 parts saw and cleaned up the transition from carb to intake port. Going to swap it on the 3.7 to see if it gains anything. Plan on BG delete and small timing bump also.

We don't see any Poulan 3400/3700/4000 mods ever. I've been curious but have not touched my saw in quite some time. Just an FYI . @Duke Thieroff has an after market Poulan 4000 cylinder and hopefully piston in the works! I think it's going to be awesome!

Please keep us updated. I can't wait to see another vid to compare your others.

How about this, I think it's 108cc, a guy I know, modded a 3400. He posted it on YouTube also.

Maybe I should have changed "ever" to "that often". All I was saying is the frequency of posts regarding mods of Poulan saws is not near the other brands.... It's nice to see Poulans being kept alive.

Well so far the test cylinder my friend is using is holding up real well. He has his own dyno to run it on also. So far so good.

I should have run your 4000 at Steve's GTG last fall. Probably the only way I'll get to run a 4000 is to try someone else's. If you come again this year you can try the modded 3.7 for yourself. May I'll have the square file thing down by then.

What do you guys think of the big felling spike Dukes sells? PO snapped one of the bolts for the factory one off in the case on this saw so it runs without one.

May I ask what alls done to that saw? Was thinking my 3.7 might make a fun 3 cube play saw for local GTGs.

20200221_174002.jpg About to seal everything back up. Gaskets from saw salvage are realy nice. 20200221_155045.jpg From the looks of it this one has a good bit of run time on it.

Is that a 3700 or a 3800, hard to tell the ring thickness. Lot of piston wear on her.
