Is that a 3700 or a 3800, hard to tell the ring thickness. Lot of piston wear on her.

I was thinking the same about the piston. The 3.4 piston is in much better shape but it would be going backwards to swap that top end on.

Just wait til the 4000 piston and cylinder kits are ready. Then you can step up. Cylinder is being tested right now and piston is almost ready for testing.

I've got saws waiting for new top ends. These 4000 piston and cylinder kits are gonna be perfect.

So ive got a Sears 2.3 PS that I took apart today. Was frozen up from being out in the weather for a while. I got it apart, and the crank etc seems to be good. Crank bearings were seized. Piston was stuck, but came loose easy enough. I'm cleaning up the piston. It had a little carbon scoring, but seems to ne cleaning up well. Rings dont look worn out, and came off the piston ok once I broke em free. Might have a pinhole thru the plating up pretty high. I cant really tell. If its bad, what parts interchange?
Model 358350880.

Got this from my grandpa to try and sell. I remember it back almost 30 years.
Where can I get parts or does anyone have an interest in it? My guess is just fuel lines and carb rebuild. View attachment 254674View attachment 254675View attachment 254676
Those are nice solid saws. Like you said probably just fuel lines and maybe carb kit. I have one- only did lines, cleaned carb ,reed and have done nothing with it in years. Runs great. They are the perfect saw to throw on a quad to clear / widen over grown trails. They handle 8" stuff with no problem.

I just dumped some gas in it and it started puking out of the line in the back of the handle. I’m guessing I will need to do new lines.

Nice, I just picked up one of the Powr-Kraft 5.0's. They're actually a Montgomery Wards brand but a Remington design. Same as PL-55A.

The Echo design Craftsman looks nice! Thanks for posting the pics, enjoyed.
Thank-you. All things considered the PL-55A is quite a lightweight saw for 82cc.
Now the Echo is another story, heavy. I put a 8 tooth sprocket on it and it does better than I expected. Very well made saw, I really like it.

I want to convert this to normal style chain and also wanted to switch over to 3/8 LP.
Does anyone know a part number for a drum that will fit. Or a saw modle that takes the same drum.
Thanks
