The 572 is definitely more fuel efficient

I can burn a tank in 20 minutes

I'll be curious to know if it gets better when the rings seat. That would get a little old busheling.

Even a ported 660 can still go 35-40 minutes on a tank in big wood. I don't know if I'd want to pack that much gas.

Definitely have to pack more gas but it is a great machine to work with.

This one doesn’t seem to be running anywhere near as rich as the last one. But, this one is bone stock. I’m not going to be able to put much more time on it, as Friday was my last day as a timber-faller. Tomorrow I start running a dangle-head processor. Hopefully it all works out.

Pretty big. I bet 21 - 23MM or so

From what I remembered the DLG report said the 500i consume more fuel than 661 in an hour.

Interesting saw, but the fuel economy's kinda brutal. Hope it gets a little better with break-in. Might maybe stick with the 461's for now.

It has a little more power, lol. Definitely way different than hand-cutting as far as a job goes. It’s certainly a bit of a culture shock going from something I am quite comfortable doing to being a complete beginner at.
