Congrats Randy! I haven't ever been to a meeting but I was on prescribed pain medication for a very long time and finally decided that the docs were trying to kill me. I gave that up but went to alcohol with a vengeance. Gave that up out of necessity,who would have thought a tumor on a kidney would be a blessing in disguise?

I had an aunt, her daughter, God bless em. Drank themselves to death, literally.. My long time bestest bud is 14 yrs w/out a drop, couldn't stop after a beer or 2, more like a case a day.
Couple times a wk, I have me a double,scotch on da rocks. Just enjoy it, but I could live w/out it.

Nicotine,,, that's another story tho.
