On reliability, overall design, ergonomics and durability-yes they are.

Husky's are simply faster by design. It's just how it is.

Ergonomics I'll argue... The rest, well, ok you got me.
That saw is running great Al! Your right, sounds a little lean at the end. No more screw?

I love them booth, but for me my 346xp is my go to saw, although the 044 Al sent me is growing on me very fast, it will probably depend on what I am cutting. The 346xp is just modded, but I am hoping to get it to Al in the future.

Never seen a 262 muffler like that. All of the ones I've seen are open cans John.

The really old ones have a removable deflector that makes modification a breeze.

The red deflector actually worked out better than the OEM. I pushed the can in a bit, so I have more space between the brake handle and the deflector than stock. Opening larger and really not too loud at all, surprisingly.

Had to order some parts to make this guy complete.

The Saw enjoys a healthy diet of 32:1 and starter ropes. It ate 5 of them, so an OEM decomp is going in the Saw. I put an AM Stihl Elastostart on it to make the bite less. The new owner will get the old pull start handle as well.

Carb's getting an OEM walbro Kit.
