Dude was fed up with Stratton. Sent it to master man. He didn't ask for a hand out. He got mad and gronkowskied that mother *frenchie. Man o stihl ain't done wrong here let's not turn *s-word round. I've slung a Saw or 6 He obviously expected better out of 1500 dolls worth o stihl. Sorry boys but that's just plain an simple. Why we diggin for a back story. I actually read ever page. Never heard anything bout a cylinder issue. Cept it was alpurty an had an aftermarket cylinder That shouldn't had been there. An an ol rusted *s-wordty crank. And.........

It has an OEM cylinder. Aftermarket piston.

My Point, Y'all just made it.

I was skeptical about Jason. I trust Randy, sent it and paid him to fix it. I bought the cylinder from Julian and sent him the saw. Scott rebuilt it.

Did Jason offer you a refund, or try to fix this 1122?

One thing you are completely overlooking Heath.

Had Brad sent this 064 back to Jason, what would have happened?

Would it be suddenly rebuilt with quality parts? Or would it just be patched up with more worn out junk?

Regardless of who took this thing apart, the fact remains that it was a pile of junk parts.

yes. That is true. Couldn't agree more on that. However I was trying to sum the story up. I did in fact make a mistake there. The piston also should have been oem though for that kinda bread. Wouldn't you agree? My mistake on the cylinder Cylinder is pretty. Ports look nice. That has all been agreed on. However crank shouldn't be lookin like it came from a junk yard. In all seriousness I doubt man o stihl knew how *s-wordty all that looked. Likely Saw did run well. But it was a total hack of a job. I have no skin in this here. But It still ain't right.

If all these people who were taken advantage of by a builder started off going to the Mods after not getting closure with the builder, that Builder wouldn't last as long.

The He Said, She Said Chicken Chit Antics would be greatly reduced.

In other words,
If all the people in the past that have truly been fleeced, & follow the Chain of Command, he wouldn't still be on any site.

If all these people who were taken advantage of by a builder started off going to the Mods after not getting closure with the builder, that Builder wouldn't last as long.

Yes he offered to by it back. I said if he paid then Randy would gladly ship the saw. Then he comes right back with conditions. Saying he won't send the money unless the thread comes down and that if he gets the saw back and sees there is nothing wrong, then I would have big problems. Said there would be a lawsuit. He asked me several times if the thread was removed, making threats if it wasn't. You need to go back to page 1 man. All this info is there and the pics from Randy's work bench speak for themselves. I have to work now.

If these "deals" were done in PMs, the mods could go back & quickly see what the original deal was, & not rely on 2 sides of a story.

This situation would be an open & shut case, & not a 509 post thread, with everyone getting their 3 licks in on an already beat-to-death horse.

It was supposed to be all oem. Including an oiler that functions. Which also didn't.

Who Knows?

I don't, & no one else either, because that opportunity never presented itself.

I've never had to send a problem Saw to a different porter, because I've been able to work the issues out, one way or another, with the porter who ported the Saw in question.
