Having to sell a JMS saw is like selling a car with a branded title.

My only Perspective is:

1. I hope everyone identifies the Need to deal in PMs: otherwise, it's hard to establish exactly what was originally agreed upon. Especially if 1 of the 2 parties are NLA.

2. This country is still a free market society, & as long as the conditions of the original agreement are met, if The seller fetches $15,000 for a Saw, & the saw does what it was supposed to, in the condition it was supposed to be, it's none of anyone else's business.

This is not correct. It all depends who you are, who you're talking about and what side of the bed the mods/owners woke up on.

As for what the piston should or shouldn't be, what was the original arrangements?

If these "deals" were done in PMs, the mods could go back & quickly see what the original deal was, & not rely on 2 sides of a story.

This situation would be an open & shut case, & not a 509 post thread, with everyone getting their 3 licks in on an already beat-to-death horse.

Plus,
Opinions & Emotions would be exempt.

The moderators have no obligation to straighten out any dealings between 2 website members, they're there to manage the site and possibly give the 2 parties a forum to work out their differences.

If you bought a product because of a commercial you saw on TV would you then contact the management of the LOGO network to complain that you were disatisfied? That being said, if enough people contacted the network, they may pull the ads for that product. In a sense, banning the advertiser.



The moderators have no authority other than within the confines of this site. Any deals are not their resposibility, any more than having a deal done through Gmail and expecting Google to somehow resolve your issues.

If I ever get in the porting business, & I have a saw give trouble, I hope that the buyer gives me the opportunity to fix the saw that gave trouble, like I have done with others.

Whether it is saw #1 or saw #1001.

Had all this gone on behind the scenes Jason's next victim would be sending him a PM about a saw. Like it or not, I'm on a mission to keep anymore of our members from falling prey to his poor business practices.

I've made no posts on AS about this, although I wanted to. I was contacted by their mods and answered questions, and also invited Brad into that conversation.

On this site though, we will not hold talks about poor work and business ethics in private. Instead we will allow a jury of our peers to decide after all the details are available.

You can say that Jason has not had his say, but that would be untrue. His lies have been told over and over.

He is a victim in his mind, and has never taken any responsibility for his mistakes. Until he decides to hold himself accountable, there is nothing any of us can do to help him.
