My TX is wired for forward and reverse, took 20 minutes.
The TX is a DC motor so it's easy. If it's the S or other models that are AC you'll to only reverse the polarity on the starter windings. The primary and starter windings are probably wired together currently so you'll have to an another wire from the switch box to the windings. The starter windings will have a capacitor in series with them and be higher resistance.

I got my Foredom from Mitch Weber, and it has a reverse switch that he said was your handiwork.
It does work fine.
Yup, I did that. I think on that model of foredom the windings are not phased 180 apart so you can only get 2/3's power and speed in reverse. Still better than not having it.
