Just checked at GFM $5 over original goal not celebrate yet. With the large difference between the value of the prizes which is a multiple of the original goal I have a greater respect for those who have donated prizes and funds. If the prizes had been sold on a trading post type venue and the funds split jon1212 might have gotten a bit more money. Just an observation. The appreciation expressed, for Jon, by those gifting prizes speaks to how much he is appreciated.

Depending on who you ask, it's from Turkey. Many will argue it's origins, but it came out of the Ottoman Empire, which explains it's popularity across Southern Europe and Eurasia. Many different recipes, but all are pretty danged delice! I prefer the rolled pastry with pistachio and drizzled with honey.

You bet, how about galicapudica? I can barely pronounce it, let alone spell it, but those were my two favorite desserts as a kid. And what cheese comes from there that is like Parmesan only stinkier and tastier. Was awesome on Greek spaghetti.

I have said before "what goes around comes around" the tranny replacement I have paid for the new transmission and about half the projected labor. Transmission is not needed. My mechanic has repaired what was actually wrong and is figuring how much he owes as refund to me. Some is headed to Jon even tho I thought I woodn't be able to send much more. Please note my recent experience if you feel reluctant to donate. Benefits come back I believe
