Saw a can of TruFuel today at HD for4-stroke engines. Slightly less than a gallon (110 ounces?).

Confused me at first, but I guess 4-stroke folks want ethanol free fuel as well?

Philbert
I use it for off season storage of the push mower, pressure washer, snow blower, etc.

Run unit dry, pour a pint or so, run for 5-10 minutes, put away. Haven't had any beginning-of-season fuel related issues since I started using it (3 yrs +).

Utah, unfortunately.....
This is the stuff I saw:
View attachment 23483

First thought that I had to overcome: "Oh, it's that 50:1 mix for 2-cycle engines!" (It's not)
Second thought that I had to overcome: "Oh, $19.95 per gallon is a better price than $5.95 a quart!" It works out to about the same cost, since this is not a full gallon (only about 85% of a gallon).

*Take time to read the labels!*

Man, that would really suck to live somewhere without Ethanol Free pump gas. I paid $2.779 last week at the Tesoro station on Main Street here, for 88 Clear.

I just use fuel out of my 5 gallon jug of E-free I fill up at the gas station for under $15.
I've done that too. Seems they store easier with the canned stuff. I bought 5 gallons of VP last spring about this time. I have less than a gallon left. It is Ean burning and runs good but is a little too high octane for maximum performance. Works great milling in the heat.

Mike,
What kind of results do you get with Avgas ?
Ive seen some planes start up on gas that was 10 years old outside in metal fuel tanks...( once the water was drained of course)
long term storage life blows the canned stuff away. Just stay away from the lead( Pb)

Local airport won't sell it to ya unless ya got a plane.

Cobby brought 6gal to me at the GTG
Many have "tank farms" that are open 24/7
The automated machine will ask you for a "tail number" or an "N" number.
Just enter N71286 .
I've never had a problem purchasing from the airport, but I'm comfortable speaking "airplane"
Just walk up to the font desk and let them know what you are trying to do. Leave a tip and you won't have a problem.
Just don't speak "Arabic" and they will be cool. Most airports are family run small businesses who only deal with people they know. Most locals have no idea that there IS a small airport right nearby.

I buy avgas and jet fuel at self serve pumps at a local airport (more than one place) and no one ever asked me any questions. I use the avgas in airplanes and the jet fuel in my parts washer. I carry the jet in 5 gallon buckets and the avgas in 5 gallon fuel cans. As far as an N number, I just put in all zeros if I don't happen to be putting it in an aircraft.
