Fuel ratio ProMac 610

I have been using a ProMac 610 for a little while and recently got a manual for it and noticed the suggestion for fuel oil ratio is 40:1 if it is Mcculloch 2 stroke oil and 20:1 if it’s not. Should I change to 20:1 mix? I can’t find Mcculloch oil anywhere.

You'll be fine at 40:1. Modern oil for two-strokes is better than when that 610 came out.

The 610 here bellers just fine with 40:1, as well as everything else.

I have always run 40:1 on my Mac 610, a saw that I bought in 1977. There I go again, revealing my age. It still runs fine.
