The ones in the video wouldn't, but I think there's some that would. It's the difference between modern bottom fed transfers, and old style middle fed duals ya see! Displacement disadvantage not withstanding.;);):)

These 390's do run better than my 395.

661 is quads.
I guarantee there's 390's that are faster and 066's that are faster.
I've done this for a long time and I'm only speaking from my experience.
If I ported 390's everyday instead of 066's I'm sure my thinking would be different.

I got rid of a 066 flat top as I came across a nice 395 that I am getting ported. The 066 was a bear to start.

The last few years I cut timber my main saw was 395 and I still have it.
A 395 can't spin as fast as a 066 and that's it's main problem,piston and crank are to heavy

We need to meet up sometime, I think a 390 can take it. This one is very basic, still has an unmodded muffler with screen.

The 661 has a very small muffler mod with a oem screen and 175lb of compression
The other cylinder I have been playing with has 190lb and a exhaust that's 6 degrees lower and they run pretty much identical.


I gotta get my hands on one of these 390's you guys are talking about.
Somebody send me one

If your 390's will beat that hybrid then there so far ahead of a 395 it's unreal.
I've ran one of your 390's and it was a good running saw.
I've ran a few builders 390's and the ones I port ain't dogs but they don't run like that hybrid or 066.

I've ran a few builders 390's and the ones I port ain't dogs but they don't run like that hybrid or 066.
