I replaced the oil pump on my refurbished Poulan 3700 chainsaw. The replacement pump has a screw in the pump body, which my original pump did not have. Is this to regulate the oil flow to the chain bar? If so, which way do I turn it to increase oil flow? I just added a 24" bar, for when big cutting is required, and I am not getting as much oil output as I would like.

Ok I just ran into this , I was rebuilding a 3400 and saw a tiny screw and hole in the bottom of the saw , apparently in 1979 they came with an adjustable oiler , not a great one but adjustable none the less.
