I've only opened mine. Looked pretty decent off the top. Very nice bevels and plating. I have to put a saw together for mine... Or.... I just remembered a buddy has one:). Might be just the ticket.

the only thing i see on mine are pits in the lower transfers.probably no big deal.if they are then a little bit of devcon should cure that.

Next up on my bench are 4-026/260 builds. One is for a buddy who won't care if the jug is oem or not, plus he knows where to come to have it fixed if the need ever arises.

I should be able to time this jug this weekend, maybe even get the band and base cut.

I gotta check the piston out. The nice thing about 44.7 260's is that the OEM slugs are available super cheap. I believe there's just a surplus of them because 90%+ of all 026/260 are 44mm. Seems like there's little need for the 44.7 pistons. I've seen them as cheap as $15 delivered on eBay with rings.

Mine look fantastic.

The 260 looks to have all I want.

No ring of death, good plating, nice ports and transfers tunnel direction/contours.

Non plated chamber.

Looks like it's got it all.

Watches wif baited breaff -- we've always wanted a MS260 aftermarket cylinder kit that is good quality.

I'm hoping we are finally there. :drive:

You are tracking very well DOC! As soon as you give the thumbs up I'm going to be pulling the trigger on an OEM piston and looking into purchasing one of these :iru:

We have a few candidates for "Doc's School of Cylinder Massage" from time to time. We've been wanting to get one of these massaged. Perhaps this may be an opportunity! :campeon:

Well, the mailman dropped the 360 cylinder off today, I was excited to open it and see what was what, after finally pulling on the piston and seeing the cylinder for the first time, I can not say I'm impressed. The burrs on the port edges are bad enough to hang the piston up mid way down. the transfers have gouges out of them, whatever was halfheartedly sprayed on the outside for a finish found its way to the inside. The exhaust port doesn't look too bad, the intake however is not concentric at all. First impressions not too good here, I'll see what the degree wheel says compared to the OEM cylinder, compare squish measurements and do a time test through a log(if it runs). Going to run it as is and see what happens to the piston, which is what a customer would do if they bought it. One thing I did really like was two different sets of circlips were included one with the little ears and one with out. At least this was thoughtful. I will say if I had bought this it would probably be on the reject pile, and not being tried out at all. I was really hoping for something nice to report on too, sorry to have to be the stick in the mud, but I have to call it as I see it, and what I see is, not what the box says, "as good or better than OEM".

Getting saw ready for tomorrow, noticed that the studs are not installed on the top of the head. Trying to decide if I should bother running this with the top off or not. Pretty much unserviceable. Guess I'll sleep on it. What do you guys think???
