Does anyone have significant experience with aftermarket 372 cranks. The big end seems to be a common fail point on even oem. Do the Chinese ones stand the test of time?
Thanks i've got some carbs to mess with i know i have a hd12 walbro but i would buy a zama if it's easier to mod. What kind of carb does the saw have? If it is a Zama clone, they are easy to mod to pick up some serious torque, especially if you move to the 77cc big bore kit.
Does it use a 009 mount or a 176 mount?View attachment 59157 Yes that's an echo timberwolf bar on a chinee saw lol
009 large husky.Does use a 009 mount or a 176 mount?
link to the mods Terry?
Thanks i will Tomorrow it's 8 pm here lolHere's a link to a long thread over on AS. Poleman fronted up and did the first mods over there and came away with a great carb. You can read through the thread (with pictures) and see how it is done and WHY. The carb far surpassed the HD-12 he was going to put on the saw.

Czed, That looks like a Zama clone on the saw. If you pull it off and open up the 'wet side' (where the metering lever is) and take a picture of the jetting, I'll let you know if you got one of the easy carbs to mod.
the low end is okay but i will look into the carb mods
Will do i haven't had time this was the first day i had a chance to try my new topend i will try this evening. If you get around to taking a picture of the carb jetting, we can take a look at it. Hopefully, the saws will be running the Zama twin jet - easy to mod, and the mods will make a difference in the low end torque.
