Not surprised it has more torque in the mid range, but I am surprised the 462 did not make up some ground in the higher RPMs!

Great job Kevin, you really got that thing to come alive!

I would have guessed high on the 462 and low on the 500, but since I never ran either of these saws (at least not after porting) I wisely choose not to guess!

HP and Torque are 2 entirely different animals. Think of a small block chevy vs. 454.
500i looks more torquey vs the HP made.

79.2cc, it begs the question (apart from the better filtration on the 462) as why you would choose the 462 over the 500i, the 500i is only 200g heavier!

I really like my ported 462s, but I'm sure I would not mind having a ported 500!

the filters on both the 462 and 500 hasnt been cleaned in a while unless joe did it
plus sharp chains make less smalls
