Hey @Red97, love to see a what a ported 600/620p in your hands could yield...one that isn't a hybrid. Im going to get my dad a new 60cc saw this fall and I'm sorting thru the options. All dad does is cut firewood, often less than 20" in diameter.
I believe someone is selling a cs680 in the classifieds on here.

I like those, but its as heavy as a 70-80cc rig. I really want to get dad a modernish 60cc saw in the 13ish pound range.

Cs620p is pretty much where I'm at

Would a 590 fit the bill also, or not a strong enough build?

Yes, plastic clutch cover, smaller bar nuts, plastic handle bar. I gots one in the classifieds somewhere. I'd buy me a Red97 501 if it sells after seeing the recent dyno graph. 60cc is not my cup of tea. I prefer a super light 50cc or super fast 90cc.

I bet it does. on mine I just cut a pop up, widened the exhaust, did a muffler mod and smoothed everything out, it's like a totally different saw with a 24" bar.

He put the transfer caps from a 562 in this one, it impressed the hell outta me, that's tough to do with a woods ported saw these days.
