Figured I would post this in here due to more traffic, mean green is no longer suitable for cleaning parts, it was sold to Rust-Oleum and they changed the chemical makeup. It will corrode alluminum now I will post pics of what it does and the new jug and old, the front of the jug looks identical to the old.IMG-20200819-WA0002.jpeg IMG-20200819-WA0007.jpeg IMG-20200819-WA0016.jpg

Just some speculation here...

I believe you said the unit is rated for 30hp and a bunch of rpm... but...
Is there a spec for max torque?

I'd guess it doesn't care as much about hp as it does about torque.
When the input is geared 2-1, the torque applied to the arm is doubled.
I think the typical application for the land & sea unit is running directly off the crank.

Not sure how abruptly you can slow a saw down with the valve setup but I know on the disc brake dyno it was possible to get really large spikes in torque if the brake was a bit overly applied, like 4-5 times the saws rated output.

Then again maybe it's just seeing some bad vibe/harmonics, that sort of thing is really difficult to ferret out.

No real "spikes" with the valve. Rather smooth.

Rated for 30hp I'm thinking 30ftlb too they have. A high tq option that is for 60ftlb.

I think it almost has to be a noise/vibration. I'll give them a call and see what they say.

Now that the setup is "right" I hoped it would last longer.

No clue where it will be, either way I built it and am proud of it, we can put them in wood sometime and see which one comes out first, was gonna send it out this Tuesday but we will have to see if Joe can get the dyno fixed first
Dustin I'd love to meet you and run the T4 2156. Any chance you could make it up to Kevin's? It's looking to be quite the swaray.

I wish I could, but my vacation was booked in January, I took off the second week of October for the gtg in TN. I be happy to send you either my 357 or the t4 2156, I would say booth are fairly equal, the t4 5105 is probably the fastest woods 50cc saw I have ran, props to Mike on them.

@PA Dan promised to bring me a T4 5105 to try. I'll wait to try one of your 57s when we meet eventually.

Dang husky and Dolly's always breaking the dyno, guess we know what makes the power;)
Well. The Hooskies Break before going on the DYNO. So...no Hooskies breaking the DYNO. There is usually a Hooskie fix it table set up at GTGs.
STIHLS usually out cutting wood and stuff. Just sayin...LMFAO

Pretty sure the strongest saw on the dyno so far was a hooskie...by a long shot.
