When I was felling trees in the UK, Oregon and Washington, I liked ported saws that were very high revving.
Now that I do mainly hardwood firewood, I prefer just a bit more torque than stock. I now have to make a LOT more cuts, and having a crazy ported saw screaming while doing it just wrecks my head.

I always liked pretty good rpm but a saw that would still pull down to 9500-10500 if the chain will let it without forcing it. And still turn 13.5-14k for limbs. I’m a one saw in the woods type of guy. I’ve about run over extras and left them outside for days[emoji2359][emoji23]
