Does anyone know if a full wrap from a 394 fits the 288? I have a full wrap on my 394 which I use for milling and would prefer that my 288 have the wrap... might be a long shot but would rather ask if anyone has tried it.

Idk it's a guess but, the part number isnt what's listed in the 281/288 IPL. So where does that part number originate from, the 181?

Not sure just checked them side by side. The look almost identicle. There are some differences though. I couldnt find the wrist pin from my 281 to try it in the new piston. The one from the new piston fits the old but goes in easier that it does in the new one. That's probably because the old one has wear in it. I'll check more over the weekend and post pics.

I do believe it can be done. I think @rattler has done it. Get the kit for a 395 "588 94 62-01" way cheaper than buying handle alone and sell off the rest of the parts.

395 full wrap fits the 394, the 395 wrap has been modified by @rattler to fit 288.

Both have been used I used a 390 as well as @RocketRoss57 , @rattler used a 395 on another. He was kind enough to post the pictures of it as well. The 394/5 wrap looks closer to a factory wrap on it though.

Nice. The 395 version looks flatter across the face than the 390

Or more bending on the hoops to pull it back ?

395 is nothing but a loop with a leg going down the 390 version is more like a 372 type looks like a regular handle with the right side wrap added to it.
