Advice on walnut cull trees.

I am aiming on culling some smallish walnut trees. Is there a market for smallish trees like in the picture down to what diameter and length. Be a couple weeks and some i don't think will be better then firewood. Most probably will be next year if sap is an issue.

The market likes to stay at 12" diameter at eye level. A log 8ft by 12inch dia. is 32 board ft. I would cut the crooked ones first for sure.

I thought someone might have a personal use for them maybe use them for wood lathe projects or carving?

That would be the best. Or someone may mill with a small mill.

Around 1976 we logged some walnut. Of course the tops were just left. A guy offered Dad $500 for the tops. In those days that was damn good money.
