I don’t see 500i in these links. I asked for 500i not 661. Do you not comprehend
funny how these 2 suck pumps like running mouths with very limited run time with a 500i and on hearsay
i have been biting my tongue but when those 2 have ran one long enough to have knowledge then they can speak
also seems to me the ones that is feeding the hearsay need to learn to sharpen a chain better

I’m not brand blind you clown. I have owned lots of brands and currently have a shinny and makita. I am not a husky fan but do like the jonsered saws. You are the same clown that sold all his stihls cause you got butt hurt and no you are back with a stihl that is the best saw in the world you feel. I’m glad you think you are a saw guru but in reality your just the pot stirring clown I thought you were. I see nothing in the links that say the 661 and 500i have the same filter set up. I asked nicely for you to some me your findings so I can read them myself. You can’t even show me anything 500i related.

Let's stay civil here guys. We're all adults.
That’s debatable it seems.

To the OP. I think whichever you would get you would enjoy. I don’t cut timber for a living and have only a little time on both saws. I don’t cut enough to worry about clogging any saws air filter in a day.

All this over having to clean an air filter once a day vs every 3. Some of the husky filters would be completely inadequate if it weren’t for air injection spinning the fines out. Also sharp chains don’t throw dust so it will help out no matter the brand.

And yes pretty much all stihls use a pleated black air filter called the hd2 in one form or another. Weather it’s round or oval the stihls like a 462 will keep the filter cleaner because of stihls version of air injection. Nothing wrong with the filter design itself if the 395 or 372 filter was on a saw without air injection it would plug daily too.
