I just finished running a 562XP I sorta pulled all the stops out on. It belongs to a member here.

I'm gonna have to make a damn video now. I like this one a lot. Of course I tried three different carbs, and used some tricks I picked up from Alan on it........

The only complaint I have ever had with the 562 is that if pulled out of the sweet spot in RPM it pretty much stops. So.......I wanted to show that this saw has plenty of lugging power, and rpm. AT reader says it was making over 14,000 rpm, so it has that covered, but what about grunt? In the first couple of cuts I was really putting a lot of weight on it. You guys tell me what you think.

Five more minutes on the upload.

I'm an arborist that owns a tree service. And let me say again theirs not many cons to a 262, but the 562 has captive bar nuts, side tension chain adjuster, auto return kill switch, throttle cable as to a rod on the 262, much better av more power, a big oil cap, not the little hole like a 262. It's just a more refined saw that allows me to get more work done in less time. I used to climb with a 372xp and a 24" bar. The 357, 262, ms362 just didn't handle it well enough for me. When I got the 562 I was able to switch to a 60cc saw and a 24. That's a huge difference for me... it's an animal with a 20"...
Thanks so much. Those are all valid great points that do add up to a much more enjoyable day with a saw. I can't even imagine how important it is when you use one every day for a living. I also completely understand what some other members have posted as well as what Randy posted on a different thread about durability issues. So that's something to consider as well.
Thanks all.

I am digging the all orange color scheme, 555 case or powdered?

I am calling it the WPP Saw (Witness Protection Program). It was so abused in a previous life that Randy had no choice but to give it a new identity and I will give it a new home north of the border to keep it away from the bad people forever...

I kinda like those grey crankhouses, but clotch cover sucks in grey.
The first things I do with those NE's is to get rid of those 3 top cover clips and that uggly grey clotch cover lol

New LGX chain untouched.

I've watched it a few times now and need to go take another shower...

Randy, I can't thank you enough for what you have done with this saw.

One question, is that a 24" bar you have on it? I can't believe how hard you can push it with that bar buried... I'm pretty sure a ham fisted amateur like me will be able to keep that one doing what you've designed it to do.

Thanks again!!!

That is a 20" bar Gary. That video really does not do this saw justice. I just cut up some 12 - 20" pine with it.......sorta what it's designed for. Wow........it's fast in that stuff too.
