Building a 394 milling saw for a member on here who needs a break to go his way.

Anyway looking to swap a longer conrod in to increase the duration. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions, as it is kind of expensive going and buying various cranks to press the rods out to experiment with.

I've always wondered about putting an 084 connecting rod on a 394 crank, it's common for racers to run an 084 rod on a 3120 crank. I've got some extra used 394 cranks if you want to experiment.

It would be best to have one custom milled from 6al4v titanium then hardcoated. Then use ceramic hybred roller needle bearings, or ti-ni coating on the needles

Unfortunately having engineering done like this is very cost prohibitive, hence why I would like to stick to a pre existing rod. My biggest problem in rebuilding a big end has been sourcing the main bearing.

Thanks, but I have a couple of 394 cranks for this project, have done the 084 rod in a 3120 myself. Might still have the old rod floating around. Thanks for the suggestion.
