Ported 261c is probably my favourite saw but one thing I really hate. when out of a cut it doesn't drop rpms right away. L jet lean symptom.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I'm not comfortable drilling jets.

It's new saw. Every 261c I ported had this. Many other models of mtronic do it but not so much. 261c and 462c are the worst in my opinion. On regular carb I just open L a little and that's it. But I like mtronic and want to know if there's solution for this.

Try a less viscous oil mix?

if you’re porting saws, drilling the nozzle should be easier than you think. It seems like you know it’s the answer.

IMHO, drilling the nozzle is part of the porting package on a 261C.

Seems like its time to learn something new. I have been avoiding this for some time now. Can you point me to the drill bits I need.

Thanks

I drilled the nozzle and it did improve my problem a little but not all the way. It did help with power. Saw is even stronger now. But that delayed rpm drop is so annoying I'm considering selling the saw. I have few regular carbed and love them.
Any idea how to trick mtronic?
