Since stihl 23rm is getting way expensive i thought i would ask how the 20bpx was considering going back to oregon on the crazy price of stihl chain.

I have run BPX a bit, and still have a loop or two in rotation.
It's NOT RM, but it does OK for 2/3 the price. The only place it's real obvious, is bore cutting, after getting stretched in.

With the flip up guard raker silliness, it's a bit different when boring, but will still bore cut.

As much as I don't like dealing with Baileys anymore, I still like the Carlton Woodland pro SC better than Oregon BPX.

I have gone to it and like it. I bore cut some white oak and hickory last weekend and it did fine. I have started square filing it as an experiment, which makes a very smooth cutting chain.
