Jack, it will be good to see you again next week!

What problem are we trying to solve for Mason? Running 3/8 on his 2253? If that's the case al that is needed is a small spline 3/8 rim to be able to do that. Works on any 2253/550/346/2153. I can bring a few if anyone needs them.

Snowing crazy here; about 2" so far. :)

Hi Bob, it will be good to see you too...... I read Mason's post last night and I thought he had a Jonsered 2153 (my mistake, he has a 2253) and he wanted to try a 3/8 rim from his 562 on his 2253. He doesn't have the clutch tools to disassemble the clutch, I do. It was a good exercise for me and I learn something new, which is a good thing.

Your small spline 3/8 rim is the ticket to his problem....... I will also buy one from you also even though I use the 325 rim. I will bring my clutch tools and we can disassemble his 2253 and install the new small spline 3/8 rim for him. Mason would not even have to disassemble his 562.....

Bob, I will make a list of things I need and send it over to you on a PM. I am glad you are going to Dan's CT GTG. I will see you on Saturday April 7.

Jack

Put me in for a couple and I could use a small spline .325-8 as well as large spline 3/8-9 if you've got em.

Ahhh so all that’s needed is the rim and the drums are the same between .325 and 3/8 small spline? I was thinking they would be different . Interesting. Well that simplified things at least. Well I will still take up Jack’s offer of bringing the clutch tool as I’ll still have to remove the clutch to change the rim. Thanks guys. I’ll buy a small spline 3/8 rim if your bringing one Bob.
