No mail service in 6 states yesterday and today.
I could care less if FED UP drivers froze up. Talk about a sorry bunch, backed into the honey house till I put a huge rock in front of it.
Backed into my mail box and bent the post.

But the rest I can under stand having to deliver packages to doors where people felt it was to cold to go out and clean the drive way and walks yet want a UPS driver to wade that crap in this cold.

Depends on what you buy, Rock Auto prices can be beat.

Most of rock auto prices are less than what my company can get the exact brand and part number for. Even after shipping. And our company revenue is in the billions a year!

They where 16.5". Were on there when my FIL bought it. Talk about no tire options.

Yeah 16.5's had a second 5 minutes of fame when everyone thought they were cool with boggers. I just want some 22x12 smooth lip cheyennes and 22x10.5 fugitives :afro:

Got this far with it tonight. Going to pull the other fender and core support tomorrow along with the front axle. At least thats the plan!

Hoping for next Friday. But i have alot to do till then. Got to cut all the spring brackets off. Cut and weld the front bumper brackets on the new frame. Degrease and scale everything. Dis assemble the front axle. And so on. I cant imagine doing a factory perfect resto on a classic car. Thats alot of work!

Yep it's a chit ton of work for sure. When I was still painting cars a complete paint for that paid 100 hours, and then the body man was usually close to that. That was no mechanical work. It's to bad you didn't have a dana 60 to put under the front right now.

I dont think a 60 will bolt on to a 1/2 ton frame? I not equipped for fabrication.:(

If you can find a 70's model F-250 with all the front springs and axle it's a pretty straight forward swap. Not much fabrication involved. I've helped do two and one was for myself. I had to sell mine about 10 years ago or I could post pics.

Good to know. At this point though, the split 44 is what ill use. But i will keep an eye out for a solid 60. Would be a worthwhile swap down the road.

Yeah it can still be done down the road even with front clip on. Its worth it if you ever get he chance to do it. Even if you can only find the 44 version it's still a good easy swap.
