Shindaiwa style.
Shindaiwa style.
I got into this thing and next thing I know it's after 3am. Lol
I decided on the 394/395 piston and put it on a little weight loss program. I was able to leave the skirt at full length by relieving a little area on the edges of the crankcase. View attachment 36826
Here's the cylinder with the holes offset and sized tight to the bolts in place for perfect alignment. View attachment 36825
Tomorrow I'll relieve a little bit of area on the case so it'll sit down in place.
I plan on using a 3mm spacer gasket to start off with to see how it runs, then go from there. I'd hate to miss something by immediately lowering the intake.
Will the 66 case handle a huge intake though? Or will you just end up with a lot of spit back? There are a couple reasons why I'm not using a 395 cylinder. For one I'm only using what I have on hand which makes the decision easy for me. Then there's the intake difference. Although the 395 is set up for a rubber boot from the factory, I think the 394 intake can be made to be larger than on the 395.
Why wouldn't it?Will the 66 case handle a huge intake though? Or will you just end up with a lot of spit back?
Expansion chamberI'm really keeping my fingers crossed in hope that it all turns out. I highly anticipate running into a roadblock when it comes to a good muffler application.
