This needs to be taken care of, just the surface of this has been scratched. The rest is really chitty

I'm sure. Just guessing more failures to follow.

As for tuning? Yes it was piss revved. Imo not extremely long. Anyone ever been around or watched videos of alky saws? Throttles strapped wide open, kill switches not working, revving well over 20k.

I've been told about this mess from several people. And yeah.....it's a damn mess. I've sat it out as long as I really can......it's affecting OUR site.

If I understand this correctly, @laslabjohn bought this saw from @jmssaws . Then John sold it to @Edwad . Somehow it ended up with Brad, and that's where it came unhinged. I'm not sure why Brad had it....and I don't care.

There are guys involved here that I have a lot of respect for, and I'm not enjoying this one damn bit.

If you guys are gonna post about this stuff, then lay the whole damn thing out, or handle it in private. I'm of the opinion that everyone needs to lay their damn cards on the table, or keep it off OUR saw forum. You guys without a dog in the race......watch how you speak about our damn members.

Now, I've got stuff to do. Straighten this crap out.

I offered to fix it when John owned it because I knew something was wrong.
He sold it and I asked the new owner to send it to me and I'll fix it for free and pay shipping. He didn't send it.

He sends it to Brad and never mentioned that the guy who ported it said something was wrong.
If brad would have contacted me I would have told him that a 066 with 040 from the chamber doesn't have 170lb of compression and something was wrong.

It was blew up when he got it but he ran it anyway.

Now that it's shot I've still offered to fix the saw but he still won't send it.

That strikes me as very odd.
I was told by John to make it as strong as I possibly can and that's what I did.

Should it last longer or less should you be able to tune it way past 4 stroke and it be OK?

Even Brad said the porting had nothing to do with it. It did not hang a ring it broke the piston and if that's my fault then I accept that and I have offered 15 times to fix it but that doesn't seem to be good enough.
I've done everything I know to do to make this right and have been trying for a month.

As far as the am parts on the saw I didn't build it and I didn't own it.
I was hired to port a cylinder for it and that's all I did.
I took one cylinder off and put another one on.
No cylinder bolts were stripped out but do you think when it exploded it pulled the threads?
I'm sure I could take another builders saw that I didn't like and find all kinds of things wrong.

Never one time was I told to build a work saw that will live forever.
I was told to make it as strong as I can and that does take away longevity. Is that my fault it wouldn't live at 15k?
What difference does it make who's fault it is. I said I would fix it.

I'm not sure why there isn't a single pic of the cylinder or the port work inside.

I don't know what else I can do.

Win some and loose some.

I've tried for a month to get them to understand something was wrong but they wanted no part of it,Only wanted to bash my work but now that it's broken good they are crying for help and I said I'd give it still even after all that but they don't want help they want to start *s-word and cry on a public forum about my shotty work.

It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever been a part of.

I'm sure Brad will fix you up.

Shaun I've told you once before and one day I will explain it to you in person.

Complain about the saws I build but I see lots of videos where your running one of mine. Didn't you get banned? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

One last thing for you saw builders.

Should a 066 with 040 from the chamber have more than 170lb of compression?

I've run your saws and told the owner they ran good. Find a post where I've complained about "your saws". Cry to a mod about being banned.

Ok now for the truth, when I received the saw i was told that the saw was all nos. I made arrangements for said saw to be ported and told Jason to make it as strong as possible.not fast strong!!!! He assured me that he went through it and it was legit. also in the original deal the nos 064 cylinder and piston was to come with it..

Well I receives the saw and it was a very very nice saw.. looked at the supposed to be nos piston and cylinder. Guess what it wasnt. The cylinder was in great shape but the piston was after market. And here is his response.Screenshot_20161117-200130.png

His execuse is he didnt notice that the saw he was selling had an aftermarket piston. Even though he removed the cylinder to put the 660 on it. And yes this is the same nos saw he was trying to sell on here.
That was the first thing.

Now like i said saw was beautiful. Fired the saw up sounded unreal.. very strong.
And I was very proud of it. It took alot of work to end up with this saw. Jason sent me videos of the saw cutting at 13800 and 14200 and it was nice. He told me it would tune past 15000 and asked if I wanted more.Screenshot_20161117-201121.png Screenshot_20161117-201042.png

So, how did it cut? Strong?

Or not what you expected?

Did it start off strong and go downhill?

So finally get to cut and i coukd wait.. told Keith his 390 was going down.. fire tje saw up ran great.. keith made a cut and looked at me funny. Handed me the saw and i made a cut.. it was super fast but didnt have much torque.. didnt even make a full cut, stopped went and grabbed Keith edt8 set the saw at 14700 made another cut. Keith made another cut.. no better. I tuned ssw back down to 14400 or 14200 and that was it. Never cut with it again. Sold the saw the next day because im heavy fisted and i like torque. Wasnt happy with it. And as far as him telling me to send it back, it was too late saw was gone.

Through all of this Jason has said that I told him that I wanted the fastest saw possible. And thats just not the case. Fast was never discussed, but now in the post above he said he built a strong saw. Speed wise yes torque not so much so.

When I sold the saw to edwad me and Keith took his 064 with Jasons numbers that he gave Keith tuned it down to 13500 and the saw cut great.. so i told edwad about it and he sent it to Brad to be tuned. And in this process the saw grenanded.

I have asked Jason . Send the man a cylinder and piston and be done with it. He refused. But will send edwad a pm threatening him?Screenshot_20161117-202921.png

During all of this he has said that it left his shop with a oem piston and that we must have changed it out. Then comes back and admits he put a meteor in it. And shaved piston weight. Thats great for a fast saw but not for torque.. it has been one lie after another..

Yes he has offered to fix the saw, and the owner of the saw dont want him doing it. I cant help that and its out of my hands.

Obviously he's pissed John as I'm sure other parties are as well. You three need to figure out a way to resolve it. It's not getting any better from cryin on here.

Even though it's a *s-wordty deal all around, respect goes a long way when dealing with these things

Takeing a little meat off a meteor doesn't make a saw lose torque. They are quite a bit heavier than stock, it's common practice to get them down to fighting weight
