Doesn't having it on the intake side keep the piston cooler? I see what you mean though.

Jason, we can move that plug when you are ready.

Great build Jason. You and Randy having a skinny leg competition?

I gotta get my legs thinner so I can start building some good saws.

If you ain't got some of them Tighty Tighties, you ain't got Chit!

Skinny legs can't be earned, bought or tought, there just like nobility, you must be born with them.

I could tell how it sounds that timing was good,I had to cut 020 from the chamber and squish is 017 and compression on new rings is 185
Stock timing is 100.5 118 74
I'll square up the duration some and leave it alone.
No point in more compression so maybe lunch time we'll see how it runs.

I aint even pulled the rope on it yet. I unpacked a bunch of boxes......and my week was full. Just like that. lol
It's good to be busy but not to busy.
I'm a little bit to busy at the moment but I'm not taking work for a while to catch up,I'm leaving for Colorado in 5 weeks and want to be completely caught up by then.
It takes a long time to do stuff like this saw here,I'll have a few days in it before it's said and done.

How does this conversion compare in power to a 066 big bore?

Here's the 064 piston i took out of this saw,thoughts?View attachment 29269
Wow that looks like detonation to me! I'm sure you know the bearings are good in the bottom end..... so foreign material in the squishband band is out of the question. Sure don't look like a piston with a ton of time on it either. .
