Brings back some memories, from many years ago. We didn't have round bales in those days -- my dad and uncles slinging up square bales on the trucks and trailers.
Thanks for the memory jog -- I miss those days. I was a very young sprout.

We didn't have a round Baler in tell about 10 years ago. We would make about 30,000 to 35,000 square bales a year sometimes and we never had a kicker.... my dad sold to the mushroom farms and wanted biggest bales we could make. They stacked well and to get more tonnage on a semi.

Finally finished the first cutting today, Just a little late I think! Only two years old so it is still decent cow hay. Then the alternator stops charging, and the ac. filters are stopped up with dust.

Had some time today to make a little compost. The garden people love this stuff.

I finally got a round baler of my very own. It's nothing special, and I still gotta build some remotes on the little 1120, but I'm glad to have it.

It's a New Idea 484 that makes a 5 x 4 soft core bale.

At 54hp it's the biggest baler my 1120 would run, and might be slow on it as is.

I'll be picking up parts and pieces for the remotes asap......more will be revealed.

We've baled a lot of hay with a 50hp tractor. That old Heston couldn't eat it any faster than that tractor could pull it anyways.

Usually horsepower for balers is more of a weight thing. I've run mine with way too small of a tractor. It doesn't take a ton of umph to turn one

Only farming can one be bush hogging, looking at how well it looks as you clean up tall weeds, the feeling of accomplishment, the panic as you drive over a bumble bee nest on an open station tractor.......
