That’s nice good find you could always light it and stick it near Alllis on a cold mornin
It's a butter churn. We kept a Jersey milk cow into the early to mid 70's. I don't think even home made butter would warm Allis up. Must be getting soft in my old age. Used to cull those ones that didn't warm up quick.

Yes, milked Jerseys all my life. Plus made butter with the cream.

Actually....it wasn't nailed to any trees. It had been a well built fence. Just had a bunch of dead fall on it.

That’s a good thing. I always hated going in to fix it when it zig zagged with the big trees at the time. A corner isn’t too bad to one tree.
