80% chance of rain today.

I'm gonna need a 4wd tractor if it keeps this up.

They’re nice with the 4wd and a cab! All accept the payments. I have a JD 6430 premium. Bought it from my cousin when he retired. He ordered it loaded up . Pulls pretty good for a four banger.

I use a JD 2640, and a JD 1120. Neither have cabs, or even a canopy. :(

You have to go to a 7xxx series deere to get a 6 cylinder anymore I believe. They rest use the 4.5 Liter from the 60hp to 135 Hp I believe. I was looking into the 5100M and then a 6105M for a big tax write off for next year earlier this fall.

Well fellas we’re really thinking about getting out of the crop farming game.... My brother and I had a conversation about only running cattle and quite chasing after corn & beans. It’s the biggest decision we’ve made since we quit milking and we’re not sure how dad will handle it.

Just not sure what to do. My brother is burned out and dad is gung ho... I’m not trying to ride the fence but I see both sides.
Cattle bring a lot of headache. We milked up until I was 30 or so. Sold out when prices hit bottom. Tried several hundred head of Angus and limousines. On a good year we broke even. Not really how I pictured it. Now we roll about 2000 rolls of hay and sell it. My dad loves it. He sets by the fire all winter. No feeding in the mud. No sick cows. Did I mention no mud.

If Deere hasn’t changed if you don’t get there best class ,there used to be three classes and everyone and the Deere mechanics say the hydraulic pumps are smaller and don’t hold up . So be sure to check that out!

That's like the 1020 VS the 1120. Main difference is the pump.

I could be wrong, but I think all the new big Kubotas are 4 bangers. The M7 171 is 150 hp at the pto. But yeah, o don't want to know what the payment is like...

Their big motor is a 6.1L 4 cylinder. They should have switched to it at 100hp. A friend has the 126gx with the 3.8L & it'll get hot.

Deere's new model # system is dumb. They switch to a 6 cylinder when they get to the small row crop class. That's at the 6140 I believe.

The best series of tractor Deere ever made was the 55 series. Got a 2555 four wheel drive pushing 4000 hours. No turbo bout 60 horse. The do anything tractor. Got a 2955 that's cabbed four wheel drive. Spent many a day pulling a chissel plow. It's a six cyli der. Plenty of lugging power. The newer Deere's all have turbos. Not ideal in a tractor. Gotta keep them spooled up. Got a few newer ones but the 55 series is my favorite

I’ve got a 4955. I use it more than any of the other tractors. Over 10000 hours. Good piece
