My uncle's ax heads, they are both "Kranjska/Carniola" style, the short one is just worn.

I told him he should seat the "Jeklo Ruse" onto a handle, it looks good.
It is a 1.8Kg (~3.6lbs) head, should make a good splitting ax.

Nice collection good display
I gotta find a better place for them. I also have some crosscut saws ,, a near mint Royal Chinook.
Handbrake dont let me display my stuff where I think it should be.
I have the broad axes soaking in vinegar. Then I need to find handles,,

I used to use vinegar but I switched to a rust dissolver called “Evapo-rust”. Non toxic and it doesn’t eat into the good metal like vinegar does. It actually removed some rust that a 10 day soak in vinegar didn’t remove.

I would need to do a 2 hour drive to get some, if they had any.

Vinegar soak done, and a sharp on each.
Now to find handles, maybe a fall project.
Would have been neat to see the welding of the two metals.

Very nice, broad axes are awesome.

Yeah that’s the only downer is finding that stuff, I got lucky and found it at an auto parts store 10 minutes from my house.
