That's what it feels like. It's still on its first tank with new ring. Once it gets broke in a little, I'll turn it up some.

If you raise I wouldn't go more than a couple degrees if any.
I generally take the lowers to the skirt on both sides and try to get them and the piston matched up at bdc.

I don't have a 90. I wish I had one, it would make it alot easier to do transfers. Practice, and a light hand has worked well for me. [emoji4]I need a 90* grinder so I can get into the uppers.

I put the bit in backwards on a cc right angle, use high speed, and a light touch on the transfers. Works alot better and doesnts pull or chatter. A foredom that reverses is pretty nice alsoI've ported a lot more without a right angle than with.
I think learning to be good with a cut off wheel will make you better,at least better at grinding. A right angle isn't super easy to use or to make anything look decent.
