All I have are three Dremels but only can find one at the present time .So far with some effort I can get into the upper transfers but it's a chore .In addition to the normal assortment of cutters I have some long reach which were used at work to deburr and chamfer crankshaft oil holes using little robots, solid carbine .Cute little ABB robots about 18" high .Heckle and Jeckle that worked in tandom .Took those little baby things about 30 seconds to deburr a 3 liter Ford v6 crank .

I'm leaning towards to 44 just because it will also take 1/4". The overall diameter of the 44 is bigger. Does this mean it might have bigger bearings and thus be a bit tougher?
I can't find much info about the straight hand pieces other then about the collets

They both have a place , I have more 28's than 44's but really like them both

I've seen a lot of guys mention the #30 hand piece. I didnt see it on CC specialty site. Do they get them from a different source or different manufacturer?
The pictures I've seen of the #30 looks like it has a keyed 1/4" chuck.

I'd stay away from air , rpm too high

I'll add my agreement here, but I'll also add 2 things

1. Air don't have the torque an electric motor has

2. I've had ice on my pneumatic die grinders while porting. Them muthascratchers get flippin cold after 5-10 minutes of use. Even wrapping a rag around them muh fingers froze

Go for it.

Head on the right angle may be a bit big is all.

Try on a junk jug for a while to make sure they don't ice up.
I asked him for an electric fordom ,but these may be handy for other things in my automotive field where the fordom wont work ,If i do not like them i do not have to keep them ,the adjustable throttle may help them out some .

Those are definitely nice to have.

My cheap ones ice up quick is all I was getting at.

Probably be just fine on 50mm+ jugs. Sometimes I wish the cc rt angle head was a bit smaller on the 45mm and under jugs.

50 and 52 are what i will tinker with

On the icing up ,i am going to plumb a car a/c condenser into my air line ,i guess that keeps moisture down somehow ,i have water traps also ,my 1/4 inch air grinder dont ice too bad ,if it does a couple drops of oil thaw it out .

Like the lower one in the picture?

I have so many handpieces I had to build a rack for them, it's over full now.

BTW Gents. I found a good deal on a chuck style handpiece that can hold 1/4" shaft burs. Straight from china, but the quality of the bearings and fit/finish is the best I've seen from that side of the pond. Only problem with it is the ball catch hole for the flex shaft sheath is a few thou under and needs to be reamed out to fit the foredom shaft. If there was a lot of people interested in them I could see if I could get them at a lower cost and modify them for everyone. They look like this.
