Revised plan.
Amazing how one damn mistake changes everything.
I settled on 3” for D2 in lieu of 3.125” because I’m limited by my materials.
The goal puts max power at 11,000 rpm
With hopefully a forgiving powerband.
When done, I’ll strap a tach to the saw and
Adjust drive sprocket and chain to achieve desired rpm in the cut.

If the copper is a major heat sync, and performance suffers, I bet I could find some sort of insulating wrap.

No room for one in the revised version.
I had to delete it so as not to get over my calculated total length.

With no belly the hit might be closer to ten. That should work good in thin steel, copper, who knows...

Did you start with flat copper? Or modify copper pipe?

All copper pipe, 5 sizes, calculated lengths and circumferences then cut out pie slices and formed cones.

They are brazed together.
