Amazing how one damn mistake changes everything.
I settled on 3” for D2 in lieu of 3.125” because I’m limited by my materials.
The goal puts max power at 11,000 rpm
With hopefully a forgiving powerband.
When done, I’ll strap a tach to the saw and
Adjust drive sprocket and chain to achieve desired rpm in the cut.

If the copper is a major heat sync, and performance suffers, I bet I could find some sort of insulating wrap.

With no belly the hit might be closer to ten. That should work good in thin steel, copper, who knows...

How did you weld the sections of copper together? Plumbing solder?
